The invictus fire ant is considered one of the most harmful invasive species there are and this book has the purpose of providing the necessary knowledge to prevent the damages they might cause. The first chapter is a general study of ants and describes the main characteristics of this species, as well as the history of its expansion. The second chapter, talks about the environmental, economic and social impact, while the next chapters explain the diverse techniques that have been used to eradicate them. Consequently, they address the interactions this ant has had with other species, and last but not least, the author reflects on the presence and the future of the invictus fire ant in Mexico.
